Hi fluffin.

What works very well is a piece of peeled cucumber on a toothpick. You can easily stick this into the gravel. Snails (and your fish probably, too) will love this additional food.
Put it into the tank when the light go out and check in after app. 2-3 hours. You will be surprised how much snails will sit on this piece of cucumber.

However, too much snails might be a sign of overfeeding. To keep the snail population in it´s limit you might consider to feed the fish less for a while. The more food the snails find the more they will breed themselves. :shock:

3.8 liters = 1 gallon (i learned it on the back of a toilet that said 1 gpf or 3.8 lpf) :lol:
For me as a German living in the U.S. it´s always a problem with the metrics. I found a website which has a tool that does the work for me. :D
