OK Guys please see table of results and your advise.
Date 7/2 10/2 12/2 16/2 24/2
Nitrate 0 0 0 0 10 (ppm)
Nitrite 0 0 0 0 2 (ppm)
GH 53 35 35 35 71.6 (ppm)
KH 35 35 35 35 53 (ppm)
PH 7 7 7 7 7
Amonia 0 .125 .25 .25 .05 (mg/l)
Not being to switched on the higher nitrite concentration concerned me so I did about 15% to 20% water change but the results were not maraby different
ie
Nitrate 10
Nitrite 2 (although slightly lower on scale)
Amonia somewhere between 0.25 and .5 now so a little better.
I apologise for not having data for the 8 days between last 2 tests.
The fish appear happy and eat well although I think I will drop off on the amounts but I have lost none and the freshwater plants appear OK.
Tank is 4 x 2 x 1.5 and kept at about 27 Deg C (summer here) droping to 26 at night.
Filtration is internal powerhhead and sponge and externalFluval 405 cannister.
Do I need to worry about these results.
Again thanks
