I have a 40 gallon tank and just noticed today that my juvenile Chromide has ich
. A few other small fish in the tank have it too. I read detailed info posted by Lupin, turned the temp up slowly over the last 6 hours to 85, and added 1 tsp of aquarium salt per gallon of water.
My question is, since this fish as an adult typically inhabits brackish water, will the salt help with getting rid of his ich?? I cannot use other things because he is in a tank with a Crayfish, and some shrimp, and I know most purchasable treatments would kill them. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.
