Bristlenose pleco eating all new live plant growth

I could use some advise!

My bristlenose pleco has been eating all new leaves that sprout on my live plants for the past few months. She still eats algae on the tank walls and will eat fresh veggies. She won't eat pleco algae wafers. She used to eat natural algae almost exclusively and would only rarely nibble on my plants.

Has this sudden change in eating habits happened to anyone before? What feeding schedule and foods worked to get your Bristlenose pleco to stop choosing your live plants to eat?

Notes on the aquarium setup
  • 75 gallon tank, heated at 75-76 degrees F, Marineland Magniflow Canister filter, Tunze submersible pump for 475-G

It is kind of inevitable with that species. Perhaps she discovered that plants are tastier then algea, lol. You might want to try a different brand of algea wafers. Otherwise you may have to remove the pleco.
