I have a 50 I plan on setting up later on. I wil move the fish into the bigger tank later on.

Today I brought two Bolivan Rams and put them into Marbelohs tank ( angelfish) The Angel keeps chasing and nipping the rams and I rearranged the tank, to try to ease the aggression. Will they get along? I thought angels did well with rams. :-(

From what I understand, cichlids are generally on the more aggressive side of fish, and don't do well with other species of cichlids, especially without much room to avoid each other.

The angel may also be stressed due to being alone.

Also, just for the sake of future fish, you may want to look into quarantining new fish, so as not to introduce diseases and parasites to the healthy fish you have.

I have a 50 gallon I will set up. I'l move the old sponge filter and gravel to seed the tank so it don't cycle. Hopefully that will help. The aggression sems a little lesoned compaired to last night but it still happens alot.

Less right now just means they're tired. They'll get back at it again and again. You'll need to get the in the bigger tank asap. And real or fake plants to offer cover to ease the stress.

The problem is the 20 gallon tank. There are LOTS of combinations of NW cichlids that will work perfectly well....provided they have enough room. Angels and rams are a good combination....just not in such a small tank.

Keeping cichlids means there will be some degree of aggression. People who are used to keeping tetras and corys are often overly concerned about what they see when they get into cichlids, but aggression is relative.
