Hello everyone,

I bought a Blue Lobster one week ago. He's alnoe in a small tank, got a rock and some plants for him to hide into.
3 days ago I so him laying on his back, not moving. So I figured he is starting to molt, so better leave him be and not bug him.
After a day he still hasn't move, I took out one glass of water from the tank and replaced it with fresh water. (That's what the guy at the pet store told me to do- cause the lobsters get used to their water, just change a glass every two days so that the water stays clean.)
Today I came to look at him in the morning, and I saw that he is wrapped with some kind of material, kind of looks like cobwebs.
Is this normal? Or has he died??? What can I do?

Thanks for any help!!!

Hi,

I'm currently unable to upload a picture... But I can try to describe.
My blue lobster is wrapped with white\transparent material, looks a bit fluffy. My first thoughts were that it looked like cobwebs or mold.
Above the lobster at the water's surface, there are some air bubbles...

No he hasn't moved for about 5 days, so he also isn't eating...
I do hope that he's just molting
