I have a 5 gal. tank with a male betta and 4 neon tetras. When feeding I give the betta his food first, 2-3 pellets, before putting in the tetra flakes. He finishes his pellets and ends up eating some of the tetra food that floats around that the tetras haven't yet gotten to. This means he keeps getting bloated so I have to fast him until he passes it on which I'm sure I can't do every day, doubt that would be good for his mental or physical health.
any tips? Thanks!

EDIT: I have a larger tank and a few diff. fish now!

are you still on this routine? what other fish do you now have? what size tank? how many times a day do you feed your betta? and how much do you feed your other fish? I apologize for the boatload of questions.
