I have a 5 gal. tank with a male betta and 4 neon tetras. When feeding I give the betta his food first, 2-3 pellets, before putting in the tetra flakes. He finishes his pellets and ends up eating some of the tetra food that floats around that the tetras haven't yet gotten to. This means he keeps getting bloated so I have to fast him until he passes it on which I'm sure I can't do every day, doubt that would be good for his mental or physical health.
any tips? Thanks!

The only solution I could think of is to put him in a bag like your acclimating him until the tetras are done feeding and cut down on there tetra flakes so theirs not a lot of left over
