Hello all,
I am new to the site but have several past years experience with tropical fresh water fish. After several years off I now have two tanks, a 10 gallon and 2.5 gallon. The 10 gallon was setup on Oct 5th and the 2.5 gallon was setup on Nov 18th.
The 10 gallon is fully cycled TODAY after weeks of painstaking water changes and the 2.5 is in the beginning stages of cycling.
I have been reading a great deal of posts on way to combat out of control N levels and they have been of great help.
I'm going to try to post my joyous experiences received from this hobby and hope you all will enjoy.

Thanks,
Little Swimmers

College, Girls, and then life was the reason for the time off..Now with two boys with the interest for fish the hobby has returned. This time I will get to teach them what not to do in order to keep a great aquarium.

It beats having them play vidieo games..what they learn with you about thier under water world will reap benifts reaching much further than a home aquarium...Congrats!

I totally hear that man. I have a 6 year-old girl and I'll blame her for my aquarium relapse.. it all started with a Betta  Now I have MTS (Multiple-Tank Syndrome )

Welcome to TFK! I've been an active member of different aquarium forums since 2003 on and off as I've picked up and put down the hobby due to moving a lot.. I have never been to a genuinely kind and informative forum before coming to TFK.. The other forums I've joined were very critical (not spending as much time helping people learn as they are concerned with bragging and insulting people's lack of knowledge), I almost didn't decide to join a forum when I got back into the hobby from my past experiences. My experience here has proved me otherwise. I'm sure you will find all the information you need, and if you ever can't find something - post it up.. We have a lot of good and educated people here and a reference team that will guide you whenever you are having difficulty or require any information that may be hard to find on the web. Don't forget to post pics of your tanks.. It's like they say.. "If you don't post a pic it never really happened!!" See you in the forums!
