Currently, I have a lone assassin snail in a 5 gallon with dwarf hairgrass, java moss, and marimo moss ball.

Sand and gravel substrate mixed.

Temp: 78-80F
15w Light
Small Aqueon filter.
Ammonia: 0
pH: 7.0
gh: 120 (higher than usual)
kh: 120
nitrate: 20 (lower than usual)
nitrite: 0

I use LIQUID test for ammonia and STRIPS for everything else currently.

It started yesterday evening he was just stuck to the side of the glass, not moving. Then today he's moved over two inches to the right but looks a bit smaller somehow? And isn't moving much. I still see some tiny snails to eat in the plants. :/

Update: he moved, he's now burrowed under the sand a little bit, near some hairgrass...
