I have a female Peacock Gudgeon that is the oddest fish I've ever had. She eats along with the others she's with (male endlers, a GBR and a Honey Gourami), but she acts almost as if she's blind. I mean, she doesn't go after the food the way the others do. She seems to eat just about anything I offer, but acts almost as if she's not "all there" in the head, if you know what I mean. She looks around while the others are eating, like, "What's going on? Is there food around?" She'll manage to eat a few pieces, and that's about it. She eats far less than any of the others, and she doesn't have the fat belly that I read they are supposed to have if they're well fed. She seems healthy and happy, but I feel she's just not getting quite enough to eat, and is slow to get to the food on top of that. Anyone else have gudgeons that act this way, and is this normal for them? Does she look overly skinny to you?
