I used to have them in a 55 gallon tank. I had them maybe for about 2 years or so. They only got about 6". The only problems with them is they are very nervous fish and their eyesight seems poor. When they get scared, they bump into things very easily, so make sure you do not have any sharp objects in your tank.

that is very true, they swim blind when they flee.

there is loads of types of pangaseas (sp?)
and the way you keep them and feed them has a lot to do with the way they grow, i did a water change of at least 50% twice a week, also i fed them a bit to well, they would only take fresh types of food os i stuffed peaces of squid full with catfish pellets

people say thet TSC are fast growers but as i could not get mine to eat mutch i had him about a year and he sat at the 6inch mark and stayed there

I ain't gonna get any, just wondered how people cope with such giants!
I'll answer that. They keep those fish in small ponds for awhile at an early stage and monitor them as they grow. If they can be seen outgrowing the small pond, they'll be moved to the biggest pond. They are often raised for human consumption here.
