Okay, I got 6 dime sized Angels 8 months ago, one passed, siphoning issue . Nonetheless, they have grown to about 2 1/2 inches. Now they are pairing off, unfortunately since I lost one, my lone wolf is without a mate. He is currently being picked on by the ones who have paired off.

I really don't know what to do, should I get him a mate? Separate him? Even though he's been with the others all his life.

They are currently in a 55 gallon.

Sorry about it being on an angle, but yes, that is Blue, my poor baby.

Personally I would move him into his own tank or think about given him to somebody you can trust. Aggression with cichlids should never be taken lightly, sooner or later he's going to be pushed to the "limit".

(It also be worth mentioning that 2 pairs of angels might not work in a 55g, I hope you have a backup plan incase one pair gets a bit pushy.)
