Was reading a bit about these guys this morning, learning about what they are and what they do. Sounds beneficial to the ecosystem, so I was wondering if it would be desirable to add a culture of them to my tanks.
If you're talking about scuds then yes but they will likely just be a healthy snack. Fish love to eat them. If you have a heavy planted tank with a lot of ground cover, like leaves, driftwood, stones they may have a chance. If you have loaches or cory cats, well quick snack.
You can actually rear scuds by the thousands in a five gallon bucket at room or guarage or basement temp. They are good fish food and can be gut loaded.
