are cheryy shrimp and red chrystal shrimp algae eaters? and can they go together in the same tank?

both shrimp are in the genus Neocaridina and are therfore considered algae eaters. there is no reason that you can't house them together
other than they may interbreed.

Crystal red shrimp aren't nearly the algae eaters that cherries are. They can live together but unless your pH is on the acid side, you probably won't have baby crystals survive. They will NOT interbreed, as cherries are Neocaridina species and crystals are Caridina species. If an algae eater is really what you're after, you might consider the Amano shrimp. They will eat the other species under the table. :) You may have difficulty with breeding them though because they'll need brackish water.
