Just picked up a Penguin Biowheel 350 for my 75g tank. I already have a canister but its a little underpowered for my tank. With the added aeration of the biowheel I have noticed that my water seems cloudy likely due to aeration. Is the spraybar from the canister filter, the biowheel and just one 18" airstone enough for my tank? Curently I have two 18" airstones up against the back wall.

The oxygenation of your tank water from air stones does not come from the air bubbles (or only a very small amount of oxygenation does).

The exchange of oxygen from the air into your tank water occurs at the water surface.

The turbulence of the water's surface due to the air bubbles increases the rate of oxygen exchange.

bubbles

so then one airstone would be enough. Just as long as something is breaking the surface?

Do not know without getting deep into your setup (and probably not even then)

BUT

in general the more turbulence the more oxygen that is exchanged from the air to the water.
