ever since I got my (new to me) new tank and rearranged the decor my fish are acting crazy. I know convicts are know to be an aggressive fish but they have lived harmoniously prior to the moved. Now its like they are constantly battling. Is it because the tank has been rearranged?? Claiming new territories etc? I've also noticed some of the smaller ones (1-1.5inches) are kinda resting on the ground, rocks, branches etc. My son said " look mom thats one dying" Are they stressed?? Is this type of behavior normal after a big move?? I just dont know.... Maybe Im in over my head Eekkkk!! I have one female in particular that looks swollen in the underbelly. I assume she is full of eggs, but then I read something about bloat? What is bloat?

Can you list all of the fish you have in this tank, as well as sizes of the fish and the tank itself? This would be helpful in determining what the problem might be.

There is one big 6 inch Green Terror, one 3-4 inch Jack Dempsey, about 20 Convicts, 4 large males (one albino) several females mostly 3 inches, several 2 inch ones and a few less than 1 inch babies. As well as 3 1.5 inch plecos all different types. Of all the convicts there are five albinos. There are tons of fish=( My gramma passed away and I got her aquarium. I think I'm in over my head. I did however add a few more rocks today to try and create more spots for them to claim their territories.

You forgot to include the size of the aquarium. Off the top of my head, you have a lot of aggressive fish in this aquarium (a lot) and all will be attempting to establish their own territory (as all are very territorial fish, except plecos). If you do not have adequate land scape for them to call "home" then that tank is simply a time bomb waiting to blow, this could all very well be caused by tank size too. But you would need to include the tank size for this to be determined.

When I mean you need adequate "landscape", I mean you must have dozens of caves and places for them to call "home".

My guess would be so, I would recommend getting rid of some of those convicts though ;). Probably drop is down to 8-10 of them instead of 20 or more.
