Which setup do you think would be better in a 60 gallon: 5 angelfish with 6 bleeding heart tetras and 4 cory catfish or 5 angelfish, and 4 bolivian rams? also, would I be able to put a african leaf fish in one of those set ups?

The first would be fine, though with more of the tetra, at least 8-9, and more corys, 7+.

The second could work, but with a bonded pair of the Bolivians [I recall mentioning this elsewhere, unless I'm losing it completely:shock:].

Of the two, I would do the first, since this will provide more interest and colour (the BH are a lovely maroon colour, I have a group in my 115g).

Would it be fine to run two 55 gallon filters? Will the current be too rough for angelfish ? Or would it be better to have one 100 gallon filter going

i run a 100 gal canister on my 55. works good. the current can be adjusted using a spray bar or aiming the noozle against the wall. my angles do fine in there.

All this angelfish talk of late prompted me to go searching for some photos of habitat and biotopes, and in doing so I came across an incredibly lovely video of a habitat aquascape for angelfish (and corys). Have a look, I think it may help to explain what we have been going on about with groups. Here's the link, I started a thread so others could enjoy it too. And learn, because it is very instructive.
