The tank is too small, granted I'm not remembering exact numbers but the bichir will get atleast 20 inches, the pictus catfish are schooling and need more than 3 IMO and they get atleast 14 inches ( I believe) and someone else can say the stats on the Dempsey but he will get big as well Posted via Mobile Device
O I'm sorry let me show the photo of the pictus cat I saw on vacation that was well over 4 inches. Also per our profiles Senegal bichirs will get over a foot of space permits.
I personally do not agree with what our profiles say because I've seen these fish at the sizes I've stated. Also you can go to other forums and you will see others that will quote what I said
10 - 12 inches would still be too big for a 55 gallon I think.
Four inches would be max in length.
but then, I have a 56 gallon column.
