I just got a 50 gallon tank and I was wondering if these fish are compatible: 6 hatchet fish, 2 or 4 angelfish, and 4 cory catfish? Also, is that overstocked?

Angels are probably my second favorite fish right next to cories. This setup even with 4 angels seemed to be just fine. I've never really worked with hatchets but I know they don't really get too big and theyre body structure would make it hard for angels to eat. Other then that keep in mind the more angels you get the more pairs that are possible to form, which means a lot of aggression. Another thing is cories whiskers are pretty much there eye sight so rough bottom tanks can harm cories. Other then that Good luck. Post pictures.

You should get more tetras, at least 12.. Depending on which species you get, maybe more if you get the smaller ones. I'm not sure if they're compatible with angels or not though. And you also have room for plenty more cories, as well

Which angels were you thinking of? Wild or domestic? Angels plus is a good place to go. I like Manacapuru and altum but these wild fish are a bit more demanding of ph/ect plus they would outgrow a 50. Domestics i like are marble/sliver and koi- I have a marble angel juvanile in a 20 gal right now.

I would just go with 1 angel in the 50 then you don't get pairing off aggression/ect. You could try rams/ port hole cichlids/ Apistrogramas tetras- be aware angels eat smaller fish.
