i have a new 48g freshwater project. currently it has two juvenile blue rams. i am planing on adding another pair and some platys into the tank at some point. i have several plants including peacock ferns, java ferns, dwarf hair grass, wisteria, a marimo moss ball and pink plant i cant remember the name of. i will try to post in this journal everytime there is something new with the tank and hopefully i get some great people following this to help me along the way
Their might be a plant called peacock fern that I'm not familiar with, but the ones I know of are Selaginella species and not aquatic. Did you get it from a tube? I know Petsmart/Petco sell them that way for terrariums, but since all the plants are together it's easy to get confused. Sorry if that is the case.
ok so it turned out that i have two female rams and one of them laid eggs last night. i am in the process of looking for a pretty male and got a new center piece which is a big wood cliff like ornament that is as long as my tank so i have plenty of hiding holes and flat surfaces in there. im doing a water test tomorrow.
well today i made an unexpected purchase and got a balloon belly molly. it was very cute and tiny and i just couldnt resist
