I had to be fast with this last one as I have little time. I am draining it down and having my son help me run upstairs with it then adding the water back in, as I have capped the overflow off.

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME KIDS!

I wander away for a week? And your thread EXPLODED!!!

A MASSIVE undertaking, I already knew - these pics just give a bit more of an inkling as to how much patience you really do have!

LOVE the clown and his anemone. . . true love, that is. Such amazing creatures, both.
And your FRESHWATER tank, ISH SOOOO PRETTY! I'm so glad you're keeping it up and running, for now, anyway.
Stars are so NEAT - feed them! YES! And then take more pictures of them! (and the clown, too!)
And omg that frag tank o_O! Don't worry, this kid would not try that at home, for sure!
How's that little (BIG!) long tentacle anemone doing after his (I imagine) bumpy ride up the steps? Poor guy. . .
I'm TOTALLY showing your bucket shot to my husband, you've got my collection beat for sure - something I'm forever getting teased about (never can have enough, heh) Now I wanna know how many you have altogether, and WHERE you keep them! lol... I just like making you count things >.<

I'd be terrified to do what you just did x1!!! Much less. . . aw, man - I lost track, HOW MANY TANKS did you just displace?!! Yeesh! That was only three?!! *RESPECT*

. . . you didn't just pick the number 77 arbitrarily, cuz' it duplicates my measly 7 did you?

I'm still trying to close some down over here, maybe if I ever get to Oregon I can bring them with, but be warned, should that day ever come - I really WILL get lost all the amazing tanks of random things, and adorable minions besides, I *might* not ever leave. And when I say I'll get lost, I mean it literally, as I have the sneaking suspicion that you might not even be able to find me in there! *giggle*

. . .Speaking of minions, I think you need to turn the camera around on the camera man! I want to 'meet' him - send him thanks from me for all HIS hard work in helping you out, and taking so many fun pictures for me to drool over!

So, inquiring mods wanna know - how is everything settling in and adapting so far? Hope all is well? Great work, man - hats off, truly!

My MTS is kicking in here...

I can't say anything Chesh hasn't said already, but I just want to give you some serious props man! This has been an awesome thread to watch.

I am feeling inspired to go buy some wood and build a 30g stack stand 2 high. It solves two of my biggest issues.. finding a good stand, and having room to put more tanks. I am no carpenter, but I know how to cut straight and am handy with a drill. This is how it starts....

I got rid of my regular stands long ago.Steel or 2 by 4 stands are so much sturdier than what you will generally find for sale and when you build it yourself it is custom. Spend some time on planning and save yourself some money.I have kids so I need these to be sturdy especially when they are stacked.

I would love to see a thread on another stack. And I don't think I deserve credit for anything...except maybe some inspirational kindling.Let me know if you want any pointers,if it is going to be a really big stack you might want to attach it to your wall via the studs.Be sure its level first, you know the drill.

OH Its not over yet
I STRONGLY feel that maniacal laughter is required after this sentence. . .lol. Can't wait for more!!!

I would definitely love it there, and have a field day with my camera too, I think! I want to know more about your gliders, but that's so off-topic T_T (I <3 sugar gliders!)

THREE CHEERS for inspirational kindling!!!

Very excited to see a new tank stand project spawned here! *dances*

Easy, we have a DIY area over on the freshy side that would be the perfect spot for you to document your project - please drop a link in here when you get going, so we can all find your thread *ish excited*
. . . and remember - MEASURE TWICE, CUT ONCE!!! *giggles*

Well chesh I have so many buckets its crazy, I got at least 6 upstairs,3 or 4 on the front porch, maybe 6 at the back door and over 10 in the back of my house, then there are many scattered around out side of my house with things waiting for my attention...Don't worry they are not animals but rocks and gravel.

The picture is of my oldest who takes all the mad pictures,I take some but they are usually sub par and lack clarity,it seems once again my 15 year old can out do me on some of the technical aspects. He also give me a hand with some of the little things when I need that extra assistance.Good kid.

And the update on the tank is I am having one MAJOR algae bloom due to a late cycle. It happens in established reef tanks especially when you have sand for a substrate as all the micro fauna and microverts have to die and repopulate resulting in quite the nutrient spike and then time for the bacteria to level out again. In the mean while my coral is hating me and I hope can hold on for a little while longer. There are several types of nuisance algae that are growing and competing for space, you can see all the oxygen bubbles forming form the mass photosynthesis.
