Okay, I have two tanks full of fish already, a 10g and a 20g, both completely freshwater, and down the road, when I'm in a bigger place and not having to deal with a restrictive lease agreement, I would like to get a third tank, but not sure what I would like to do with it. Right now I have four options: Make it another freshwater, either tropical or subtropical, or try something new, which would be either brackish, saltwater or something different all together like say turtles or bearded dragons. It probably won't be until about a year or two, yet since it's never too early to do your homework, and while I've spent most of life raising fish, with a little bit of amphibian on the side, and helping out with other animals whenever my folks are out of town for a few days, which are nothing more then dogs and cats. Here are the questions:
1. What is best for beginners? Reptile, Amphibian, Insect, anything? Most of my experience is with Tropical Fish
2. Besides the tank, what equipment would I need and what layout for which animal?
3. What would be good for a small-to-tight budget? And what I mean by tight is that almost half goes to both bills and groceries, and the only expensive thing that I would buy is the animal itself. I don't want to buy something that has too high of standards to raise and also something that won't mind being held in my hands.
And a thanks to those willing to give an answer without trying to bite my head off. To answer those wondering why I would get more then one kind of pet, I like most animals better then I do most people.
