Amazing!

So updated pic (The stem plants need a trim, so ignore the straggly bits, they will be fixed up this weekend)

I've noticed a few of the neons are missing, normal thing, they are not terribly hardy sadly. Remaining are eating well and look great though. The 2 dwarf gourami are still playing nice, though i think the blue one is the boss. Cherries are multiplying and their colour is really red.
Your tank is AMAZING! I very much look forward to setting up my brand new 55 gallon cichlid tank :lol:plenty of new guppy fry to feed them  Any suggestions on plants for a newcomer?
Thank you :)

Anubias & Java fern, especially if going into a cichlid tank, these will generally deal with being given a bit of a hard time :)
Thanks for the advice! As I said, I'm fairly new to this hobby:oops:. I have a 20 gallon tank currently housing gourami and guppies. The substrate is gravel rocks about the size of a peanut. Would plants be able to survive in this or is there some way to add a soil mixture to a tank already holding water?
You are welcome :) The Anubis and Java fern dont go into the substrate, they do better tied to rocks or wood :) So your substrate will be fine with them
Awesome! The first of my female guppies is giving birth to her second fry as I type this so I need to head to my lps as soon as they open for some floating plants I was honestly caught off guard by the fry this early, I only purchased them two weeks ago! Will definitely add the two plants you mentioned to both tanks! Thanks!:p

If I may quickly ask one other question: When I add these plants to my tank, what type of lighting will I need? I currently have a 20 gallon with a strip of LED's attached to the hood. Tank seems very bright, though I'm not sure if plants need some other type of light to grow?
