Finally catching up here, and YAY! The tank looks fantastic, those lil' loaches and their Tetra buddies came home to heaven, looks like they already know it! So cool to see them all squirming around in there in loachy bliss, and the bigger shoal of Cardinals is just swoon-worthy in front of all that green!
Tank looks to be growing well, and I'm happy to hear that the crypts and lotus are behaving themselves and growing well for you! As always, a beautiful, and very healthy, happy tank. *luffs* Keep up the good work, girl! *swoons*
Wow. So it's been a really long time since my update. I even got the old thread warning at the bottom lol.
Unfortunately this isn't a happy one. I returned from my holiday travels to find only 5 tetra remaining. I was able to sneak home to change water once, and everything was fine. But when I came home for good three days later, I saw at least seven spines on the substrate. The water parameters are spot on. No other fish have shown signs of disease or weakness. All of my loaches are still there. Hell, my shrimp even appear to have increased in number. No clue what happened.
I was going to take a video of the tank to show how different it looks, but the new tripod I got for Christmas is busted. So when the new one gets here I'll take a video. My tank is soo much less shiny now
Nothing else has happened in the tank or any of my other tanks to give any kind of inkling as to what killed all of those tetra. I'm completely stumped.
As to what I plan to do next, I'm going to bump up the cardinal shoal for certain. Probably just another 6 fish. But I'm thinking about adding a second tetra shoal. It'll probably be black neons because those are the ones I can't see myself having in any other planned tank.
A bit of an upgrade for my odd couple polleni and angelfish who were previously in my 55. Picked up this 75 gallon with a homemade stand. Nothing pretty, but it works. The fish, driftwood, and most of the plants from the 55 were moved in on June 3rd. I also moved over one of the cycled filters...
Hey there everyone! I wanted to post some videos of my 55 gal community aquarium in your forum. I hope you enjoy my videos, and if you have any tips on my tank or the video/editing, please shoot away! I am looking to improve ♥

The 25g needs a major overhaul. Unfortunately, i cant seem to locate any 'great' pics before the rescape so this will have to do.
It was a jungle of ludwigia, so that had to go. :)
I decided to do a minimalist scape, and focusing on a select few species. And this time, it will be a peninsula...
With my new additions, the bolivian rams i thought id share some pics of my planted 65g tank...

I've been keeping a maintenance journal with the My Aquariums/My Aquarium Log on this site since 2009. But I haven't gotten the log part to work in forever, for my 75 gallon log and my aquariums. And when I try to make a new tank...
