FISH BABIES WAT.

I have three fish babies running around Queen's tank. How did that happen? Setting the 5 gallon up now for them before they become fish food.

Babies!!! :3 It will be so exciting to see what they turn into!!

And again... I applaud your ability to catch such small buggers. :notworthy:
Mee to :3

I have not found any more popping up to be see in the 80 so this appears to be it. Went out and got an AC sponge and stuck it over the airstone so that it doesn't produce much current. They are still fast happy buggers.

Thanks Kop.

I'm sorry I have been so lazy in updating this thread.

I've got new video that is recent on the babies. This is feeding time last night before the lights went out:

I also finally got decent video of the little albino juvie. I noticed both pleco were out during feeding so I got video of both and put it back to back:

Dawwww! Babies! They look SO much bigger than last time. Still haven't stopped moving lol!

Your albino bristlenose is so small! But they grow up fast! My farlowella grew like a weed... well a blade of grass.
They never stop moving or eating...a typical rainbow fish :3

Haha, I'll bet it did grow like a blade of grass. I'm so jealous of your Farlowella. I wish I could have one but I don't think it would work too well in any of my tanks, at least not for the fish.

I'm hoping the albino will grow well. I'm finding the 20 has the added benefit that what ever he doesn't eat is devoured by the colony of snails that has been growing rampant. I really need to port some over to the 150 to give the loaches some fun.

EDIT: For those who have been following the cracked canister episode, the new shell came in today. So everything went back together like a charm and the 150 is back to being run by two canisters again. This was the Filistar XP3, by API. Got to hand it to them they gave me excellent customer service and sure did get that replacement to me quick! I'm a fan :3

Snails are impressivly good at moping up what the shrimp and farlowella don't eat. You should have LOTS of snails for the loaches. Who knows. Maybe the SAE will join in!

I'm glad your canister is fixed now. Did they send you a whole new canister? Or just another cover? Also super glad to hear about the good customer service! Makes me even more convinced they are the canister for me!

Oh yes they are :3

They sent just the plastic shell that hold everything. I was very specific that I didn't want them to send a brand new canister, I only wanted the part that broke.

It's been a while since I did any major upates. I took a collage of video and put together:

There are clips from every single tank including the fry tank. If you get far enough in you will see the video focus on a silvery female rainbow. Thats Miss Lonely. She used to have a swimming buddy just like her. They were the ones hardest hit by the worm infection. Sadly the partner died, but this one pulled through. She's slowly putting on weight, is now schooling with the other rainbows, and is a happy eater.

As you can see all the loaches withstood the medicine as well. Next week I am doing the second dose.

With the 90, I've butchered the java ferns trying to get rid of dead/dying leaves and allow the new growth to come to the surface.

For the 80, I've put the pipe in there that I still, and tried to hide it best I can. I'm hoping this will help Queen feel more comfortable coming out because its an easy access hide spot.

The babies are still doing well, I'm trying to get them to eat daphnia. Clover is doing well as you can see. Alby (the albino plec) is also doing well too. So right now the tanks are happy, though I'm still not happy with the heater in the 90 not being able to raise the temp above 74. When I can I will be buying a second heater...or maybe even a replacement.

Lovely video of lovely tanks, looks great, Fox! Glad that things are going so well for you, and that all is healthy and peaceful in all of the tanks. Such amazing creatures you keep. I loved seeing the ropefish snuggling!

Thanks Chesh. Thing continue to pretty well with the exception of the 90 but I think as of yesterday that has been fixed.

The 90's heater seems to be only able to get the tank up to 72 degrees. Which is well below what the fish in there need and it seems to be slowly killing off the plants.

I finally stole the big black 200 watt heater from the 150 since it has a brand new good heater anyway, and put that in the 90. Tank now sits at around 77 degrees which is a vast improvement. The 150 is only dipping down to 76 degrees with the heater missing, which is acceptable.

I have an update on the over all condition of the 20 tall that Clover calls home:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cghZXJ9Y1Jw

The Bristlenose went and hid, but the growth in the tank is wonderful. That tank's filter had to be replaced though. The internal Marina began to develop strange noises and ...seem to keep coughing which is the best way to describe it.

When we were out and about a bit ago I came across this: Fluval Nano Aquarium Filter

It's a really brilliant design for an internal. Pulls the water from the bottom side (which helps remove the issue with dead water right below a filter), pushes the water through the media and then into the top where the motor is. Hopefully this means I won't have motor issues like the Marina Internal had.

My only issue is that the spray bar just...can't be used. Not without really strange rattle noises when you throttle the output to be gentle. That's fine though, I'm going to see if I can get some long tubing that can fit over the output, and poke lots of holes in it and run it around the inside of the tank to see what that achieves.

Also the Fry have gone through their second water change and my how they have grown from being tiny specs with eyes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOV9qI67GZs

I've got another batch of videos dealing with exciting stuff!

First...the 20 gallon high has more life! I brought home 7 little Neon Tetras. I finally got some footage together. As of yet they are still a bit camera shy:

Neon Tetra addition to the Clover's Grotto - YouTube

I want everyone's input as I really don't know much about these fish. They fall within the proper perimeters of the tank. What is the best thing to feed them? Do you think I need more for the school?

Will 7 be enough for their own health?

Moving on, since I moved a heater from the 150 to the 90, the water temp went up and the inhabitants are more relaxed. They seem happier.

Silly Ropefish - YouTube

Here the ropes (at least three of them) are being lazy at the top of the tank. It's always cute to see them as they move about.

The final one is an update on the 150 complete with me talking for 4 mins. Hey! I'm doing better and...making it shorter?

Update on the 150 Gallon Community - YouTube

The second dose of meds went in a few days ago but I didn't see any signs of worms coming out. I am assuming that is a good sign.

Why the fry are the videos refusing to format properly?

So many updates!!! Looks like things are going well over there - after a rough spot or two. Worms are so terrifying, SO happy you were able to get the meds you need fast enough to save everyone! I don't have Neons, I have wilder JellyBeans ^.^ They're about the same size, and as far as I know, have the same needs. Mine do really well on a mix of wet-frozen foods like daphnia and baby brine (though they can handle big things like bloodworms, or try to, anyway!) I usually do a bit of crushed up NLS with sinking pellets for the rams - but with a Betta. . . you'll find the combination that works for everyone, I'm sure! You know what a happy shoal looks like :) Trust your instincts!

I still want to block out the image of what those things looked liked :C

I thought about getting the NLS little pellets and see if that will work better with the Neons.

Oh oh oh!

Do you see it?

I dumped some snails I collected from the 20 to give the loaches as a treat. A horse head loach came to the party! I didn't even know they were still there or alive. D:
