Hi Y'all..... Flower here. Okay, last year my neighbor gaveme 150 G tank.... 6'Long,2' H...
Anyway, deciding to go for freshwater community to start with. canister filter, med size gravel sub, fake plants and decor(for the moment).
So after cycling. I have slowly over a period of 8 weeks, added small school, starting with
Male rosy barbs(13) they like the very bottom
Head light Tetra(11) right up top
Serape Tetra (11) happy right above the barbs.
Rainbow- 2 yellow Bos, 2 red millennium.
Small 1" Gold band Severum
Small 1" blue ram
Cardinal Tetra-6 so far.sm
2 snails.
1 pict catfish
Platys- 5 blue,9 sunburst,5 red mickey mouse.
3 Danio Sharks.
THEN, added 11 Tiger BARBS...small....
Now, the tank is stuffed about 60 fish, but now I avg, one dead fish per morning.
I knowwww that the Tiger barbs can be pretty assertive, but I figured with a tank that size, all the small schools would find their own space and with the sizes adding them last... didnt worry... water test fine... ph is good for all varieties... nit, amonia etc.... all fine. temp avg 80 ...
So question is...is this the Tiger Barbs? All the fish I have taken out each morning total of 6 have been the smallest of the school, surprisingly the cardinal (smallest in tank) are fine. But seems to be only the serape tetras, or rosy barbs. So any thoughts??? I wanna know if this will settle down, its been about 10 days since I added Tiger barbs... so any thoughts would be awesome!!!
Seeing as how the very small blue ram has done great, from what I understand they can be pretty sensitive, I can help but think my H2O quality is all good, so what y'all think.....????
I will say, I could use more hiding caves....but other than that, should be plenty of seperation areas with decor to provide all the fish with a safe area .
And please, I know plants need to be a part of any good tank, please don't preach to me about that:roll:..... it will come in time, along with CO2 and equipment needed......... so, with that said,THIS is the Tiger BARBS right>?????
OK FORGIVE SPELLING AND COMMON NAMES... I WISH WE ALL USED COMMON NAMES - so much easier...on the hobbyist
Anywho, Thanks...xxoo The flower child.....
Peace
