  1. Freshwater and Tropical Fish
Both of my Cory cats have developed swim bladder and died within hours of developing it. Not sure what to do to keep the other fish from having the same issue. Help!
  2. Tropical Fish Diseases
My beloved fantail goldfish of 5 years (Pog) is acting very abnormal. Here's a video below that i took about an hour ago: IMG_0820 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! The video is a little under 2 minutes long but it shows all of the symptoms if you watch the whole way through There was a freak...
  3. Tropical Fish Diseases
I have a 50 gal freshwater tank with 4 drawf rainbows, 6 runny-nose tetra, 2 angel rams (drawf cichlid hybrid), 1 female guppy, 3 platy, and 2 gold dojo loaches. Most of these fish I have had for 6-7 months. I had a 44 gal tank that cracked and so I had to buy the new 50 gal tank and transfer...

  5. Tropical Fish Diseases
For about the past two days my one year old black skirt tetra has been swimming franticly upward right next to my bubbler to no avail. He can only make it about six inches from the bottom of the tank, and he's been sitting basically in the stream of the bubbler non-stop. He looks normal, no...
  6. Tropical Fish Diseases
One of my female platy seems to have deflated in a big way. At first I attributed it to having fry, but I think something else is going on. She's hanging out at the bottom of the tank and if food makes it down there she eats but I'm concerned all the same. I've had two molly die in two weeks...
  7. Cyprinids and Atherinids
So I've got three fancy goldfish in a ten gallon tank with a topfin 10 power filter and one of my goldfish (named toothbrush) got sucked into the intake of the filter the other day and bruised his fin. I figured, no biggie he'll heal. Which he almost did when I noticed yesterday he had gotten...
  8. Cyprinids and Atherinids
Hey! My 3 crowntail goldfish have issues swimming, usually after they eat. They tend to float at the top of the water, sometimes sideways. I think they are swallowing to much air when they eat. Is that bad? How do I fix it? Thanks!
