I am very new to this forum and am looking for some information regarding a 55gal tank I am setting up. After much research, I have hopefully settled on a Peacock cichlid tank. However, I am finding conflicting answers regarding stocking and I am looking for some straight forward...

i just recently set up a new 56gallon setup with a few currently in it.
i have been keeping fish for almost 4 years or so but have always kept smaller, community fish and aquatic plants.
this tank currently has a fluval 306 and a fluval 105 filter.
In my 55 gallon:
12 neon tetras
12 other small schooling fish
6 albino corys ( do i need sand so there barbels dont get damaged?)
2 german rams (i dont want real plants so will these still work?)
4 hatchet fish
So would these work ok?
And what could i add if its not overstocked (or close)
The first one is the largest tank I have ever had, it's a 55g long and it is massive we custom built a stand for it lol here it is
and since I loved the 55g so much I wanted more fish so I decided to start breeding my own in my first tank in almost 15 years my little ole 10 g lightly...
