That is my beef, Not many put in the work to present the material that now says..by TFK team ....

Some fish survive fish in cycling and some don't. We do not know what level's of ammonia,nitrites the fish were subjected to during the process but it is why fish in method doesn't alway's work well....

Sudden change in pH is hard on fish such as what happened with first too much acid buffer,,and then with alkaline buffer to raise the pH back up.
Unless your tapwater is below 6.0 for pH or above...

Should be OK but I might start with seven hour's on timer for a couple month's, and then bump it up to eight or ten hour's once plant mass increases.

Algae will grow under any lighting when balance between needed...

Might also consider that plant's have the ability,,, and can and do,,transport oxygen to the root's so there is very little chance of hydrogen sulfide build up in heavily planted, sand based tank....
