Good call on the shrimp. I wouldn't say it's aggressiveness as much as appetitivness.

I used a mylar sheet, black on one side blue on the other and went with the black. Just stick it behind and tape in place. Easier to change if I ever change my mind. It probably cost less than a can...

I guess it really depends on what it was with the loaches but I would imagine there are nasties that just live with the fish in the wild all the time. It's hard to treat something that you don't know...

From what I understand of it it is a colour...

From what I understand of it it is a colour variation issue only. When I picked these guys out they were a mottled brown colour. Environment means everything.
