Tetra School Help

Hello all,

I have a 36 gal. aquarium. A couple weeks ago I had a bacterial infection that hit my tank pretty hard. I lost about half of my school of Black Phantom Tetras and my Gourami.
I have a Platy, a Cuckoo Catfish, a Pleco, a few Ottos, and the remaining four Phantom Tetras. Everything seems to be healthy and doing fine now, so I was considering replenishing the tetra pool and maybe adding one other fish. The problem is, my LFS does not have the Black Phantom Tetras and said they don't know when they might get more. So, any thoughts on what I should do here? I don't know of any species of tetras that are close enough that they would school together, and my tank isn't really big enough to add a full school of another type of tetra (or minnow or whatever).
What fish in what numbers would you add to this tank?
-Cheers
