New Again!

Just got back into the great pastime of freshwater tropical fish keeping. In the 80's now, started keeping tfish when I was 13. Of course some detours along the way. Last kept fish in the late 80's. Just set up a 55 gal tank with 6 corys, 6 tiger barbs, 2 female bettas, at present. Past experience indicates I don't want any chichlids in this community tank. Nothing against them except you need a chiclid family tank to be successful in that area in my opinion.
Plan to add some fancy male guppies and some serapa tetras for a little additional color.
Previously tried 6 clown loaches in the initial tank stocking, they lived almost 3 weeks and passed on to a bad case of ich, I possibly over medicated them which may have helped in their demise. Previously kept and successfully bread and raised some green severums, overloaded my local fish store with youngns. Great experience overall. Located in SW Missouri in residence number 17 Since graduation from high school. Great to be back into fish keeping!>:)
