My Bunny Adoption Journal
I recently had to give up my cat because our landlord wasn't a fan and I lost my four snakes to a deadly and highly contageous neurological condition called IBD. I got a pair of goldfish since then but I really need furries in my life. We have two outdoor dogs but living in Louisiana with temps of 102F and the heat index at 130F, it's just too hot to take my four month old daughter outside to visit them. No worries, they get walked twice a day! When we first moved in here, I had a pair of rabbits. Our landlord was all-abord as long as they were caged. Well, they weren't caged but they had a cage so we could say they were. They ended up getting out and near our dogs before we could do anything.... Now that I've babled enough, we are looking to adopt some more bunnies!
I have already been approved through the rescue to adopt Angstrom and Kisses but we were also looking at taking a third. There is one bunny with a strong personality that doesn't tolerate being held and bites. I immediately wanted to adopt him but he cannot be near other rabbits. A new bunny, Clover was just added to the adoption list as well, however and the owner of the rescue is going to introduce them today. Hopefully all goes well because I would much prefer three bonded bunnies than a bonded pair and a single. I think Clover will be the deciding factor, though. Napoleon is a cutie but I would really like bunnies that can be together.
I will keep everyone updated as to how everything goes!
