    Caught your update on Byron's bacteria thread. I thought it was a great read too. Unfortunately Byron is no longer on the forum.

    I thought Callistra's cycle was amazing too. I've watched other cycles with TSS and O-and-O as well as other bottled bacteria. Seems most of that stuff works far better than nothing at all. Much of it performs a 1-week to 10-day cycle. Current record from a bare tank to fully cycled is 6-days.

    I saw a picture of a sump/refugium you had set up and were showing a guy doing a cichlid tank. I just rejoined the hobby after about 10 years and have a 90 gallon that I am going to do saltwater with a sump/refugium. I wanna do it awesome and was curious if you could give me pointers to build a refugium like yours. Thanks, Greg

    Hey! Thanks for the Canister filter design! I modified it a little bit and now it's running fine for my pond. I'm using a combination of filter mats and lava rock for the media.

    hi, i wanted to know a fast way to get rid of that nuisant red algae that begins to overtake your tank...i heard a certain butterfly fish feeds on it but i cannot find which one? any help will be great...

    hey SK, i'm kinda new to the hobby, i have a question or 2 or your daytime lightning and nightime, how does that work do you have 2 seperate lights on your hood, cause i really like the nightime, can you tell me how that works ? or what i would have to do if i wanted the nightime lighting.
