Hello from the Midwest. My wife and I are new to the site, long time aquarists and pond keepers who still make novice mistakes. We currently have an 8000 gallon back yard pond with large koi, a few largemouth bass, and 4 blue catfish; a 75 gallon semi-aggressive aquarium; a 40 gallon community tank; a 2 gallon betta tank; and are in the process of building a 300 gallon indoor pond which will be home to red-eared sliders and our jumbo african clawed frog.
We'll surely have numerous stupid questions, and can hopefully help answer a few questions from others.
Cecibella is an amalgamation of our twin granddaughter's names.

hello and welcome to you and your lovely wifey
there are never really any silly questions,so always have a look around
and see if someone has asked,if not, then never be worried about asking.
there is a very wide variety of people from all over the world on here,
so you may just find it not always answered straight away.
i would love to see pictures of the pond if you can,it sounds
amazing !

Hello and welcome to the forum

My jaw dropped reading your list of current and future waterworlds. I would love to hear more about your plans for the indoor pond. Wow.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Thanks, Willow and Romad. Will see if I have any decent pics on my phone of the pond from warmer seasons. Unfortunately, it's now frozen over and mostly buried beneath snow. The indoor pond is mostly being built to house the turtles (I plan to turn their tank into a fire-bellied toad habitat), and to get our clawed frog out of the aquarium, as any fish under 2" soon becomes frog food.

Welcome to the forum. Good to hear other husband and wife enjoying the hobby together. I'm slowly winning my wife over, she picked out her angle fish this week.
