Thermometer recommend?

I want to buy a new reliable and easy to read /adjust thermometer for my 55gallon.
Any recommendations? I was looking at the ViaAqua Titanium Aquarium Heater, 300-Watt

Happened to be looking for a backup for my 75 gallon and found this link:

Top 5 Best Aquarium Heaters - Fully Submersible With Thermostat

To be honest, I've used a whole spectrum of brand names and haven't had bad luck with any. I usually read reviews and pick somewhere in the middle of the road for price. Warranty length is more attractive on some than others so that is something to consider.

Good luck!

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

I was having constant problems with heaters. Finally broke down and bought a Finnex. The heater tube (titanium) goes inside the tank, while the controller goes outside. It's been running for over 3 years now and I have never had to reset or fiddle with it. It is spot on every time I check it. Even keeps the settings even through power outages.

Would absolutely recommend one with no reservations.

I use the Aqueon Pro's in my tanks and highly recommend them. I own 4 from 50 to 200 watts and all have performed flawlessly.

another vote here for the Aqueon pro... I have 4 of them... I do use digital controllers ( aqua logic) on all of them. The controllers provide a safety element for the heaters but also run/control my chillers as well
