Help

I've set up a tank but my heater fitted not seem to be keeping water warm. According to the thermometer

test the heater is a smaller amount of water like a gallon container. If it is working then you probably need a larger heater. If it's now working then you need a new heater.

But it is kinda hard to determine by using the tank.


my .02

maintain Fw and marine system with a strong emphasis on balanced, stabilized system that as much as possible are self substaning.

have maintained FW systems for up to 9 years with descendants from original fish and marine aquariums for up to 8 years.

With no water changes, untreated tap water, inexpensive lighting by first starting the tank with live plants (FW) or macro algae( marine)

Is the water warm by the heater? What heater and size of tank/room temp?
