Compatability of Red Garra with small tetras

Got an option to buy some Red Garra (Doctor Fish). All I can find about them is that they like neutral ph and can handle a wide temperature range. I have a 300gal display tank with heavy vegetation stocked with small tetras (cardinals, golds, black neon's etc.) It would be nice to have something to help control the algae growth, but, are these fish compatible?
