Acan coral won't eat?

I have this acan bowerbanki frag that has been in my tank for a few months. So far the mouths will only open barely a centimeter and won't accept food. I haven't even seen the feeder tentacles come out. I tried feeding it mysis and they stuck to the mouth but then the coral seemed to reject it, long stringy strands came out of the coral and dragged the food away. Could it be because of too much flow? Water parameters are good, besides phosphates are a bit high 0.12 but I don't think that would result in a loss of appetite. It is usually more inflated than the picture shown, crabs were walking all over it so it deflated.

I would just skip feeding for some time until you see actual tentacles out on their own, sometimes during the morning and or at night. The bowers like low flow and low too moderate lighting. Also I have had several Bowers and echinatas that were aquacultured in the ocean not do so well, and transition very slowly, when brought into a home aquarium.
