Frustrated with dwarf cichlids
I have a 75 gallon tank with more than adequate filtration. Has been set up for over a year. Plants growing nicely. I "stocked" the tank with dwarf cichlids: blue rams, Bolivian rams, cockatoo cichlids, Apistogramma borelli, Apistogramma panduro. I also have 3 Siamese algae eaters, a few panda catfish, Farlowella cats, and 5 neons/cardinals. I change 1/4 to 1/3 of the tank water religiously every 2 weeks.
One by one the cichlids seem to dry up and die. Bolivian rams are still going strong, as are several cockatoos, and a male blue ram. Some of the deaths may be due to bullying by males, but certainly not all. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm about ready to go back to guppies.
