Question Replacing gravel mid-cycle?

I'm currently cycling a 20 gallon aquarium to prep for a school of albino cories, 1 albino pleco, and possibly a school of silver hatchetfish.

I read that cories like sand better, so I ordered some "caribsea instant aquarium sunset gold" sand to replace the gravel I have in there now.

My question is, if I replace the gravel with sand after the gravel has been sitting in there for over a week does it start the cycling process all over and set me back?

I'm fairly new to this, so any information is greatly appreciated, as I want to do everything right for a happy and healthy tank. Thanks all

Aquarium
No, since a majority of bacteria is in the filter. :)

I've never had any problems with 'Impulse Buying'. They're just animals that I forgot I had planned to get.

Yup, filter houses most of the bacteria. I would suggest not feeding the fish for a few days afterwards as a precaution. Anytime you do anything that changes the balance I think its wise to stop feeding for a few days while things reach a new equilibrium.

125 - BGK, chanchito cichlid, pictus cats, silver dollars, palmas bichir
125 - cichlids (severums, bolivian rams, chocolate), rainbows ( turquoise, red), loaches (angelicus, zebra, kuhli and horseface), plecos (BN, RL and clown), denison barbs, tiretrack eel, pearl gouramis, betta
90 - Congo tetras, african knife, upside down cats, spotted ctenopoma, kribensis, delhezzi bichir
2.5 - betta
