Question Pros and cons of astronomical light cycle

What would be the pros and cons of a light cycle that ran from sunrise to sunset rather than a fixed photoperiod.

Well, depending what light cycle your mimicking, close to nothing... and fish thats being bred in captivity for generations will not likely have a greater impact compared to wild caught.

Also will you mimic temperature cycles - or at least cooler temperatures in the night, cause that may have a greater likelyhood of seeing breeding behaviour and whatnot.
