Okay I think I am going to get a Eheim 2250 Canister Filter, and I am going to just get one of them. I really only have one place to put a canister filter, I think that should be good enough you think? Also Is there anything else I need to buy along with this canister filter to make it work good??

Eheim is a very good choice!!!

I think you will be real happy with the Eheim 2250. It should come with everything you need.
Like Byron said, if you are going planted, I would remove the UGF. I would remove it anyway, not a fan myself.

Nice house! Any pictures of the outside?

I turned my basement into a movie theater room with a 6 ft screen. I like it, but the bedroom would be better.

I drive a 4 wheel drive Jeep, so I am not getting stuck in the snow either. Very Impressive, for a car though!

Now, whats in that basement?

Eheim is definitely the best choice for your tank due to the size. I would also get rid of the under gravel filter.

The next big question being what sort of fish do you want in the tank as this will determine how you go about cycling your tank. I would strongly recommend reading up on the cycling process because this is what cause all your problems in the first place.

I would also strongly recommend not purchasing 25 fish in one hit again lol. Add 2/3 fish a week for several weeks until your tank is stocked but also remember that the fish you buy can be 1/10 of there full grown size so its best to research them first... If it was me with a tank that big i would be getting rid of the fake plants(can keep them if you want but will look better without them) and buying heaps of dark red lava rock's(will match your floor) making caves and rock structures and filling it full of African chichlids. Africans are awesome colorful fish that are really interesting to watch.

Cheers Zac

Another question.. Is it okay to mix my tap water with some hot tap water in so it makes the correct temperature I need when I do water changes? Or are you only allowed to use regular cold tap water and stay away from the tap water heater?

Its fine to use the heated tap water. That is what I do. Let the water run for a minute, till the temperature matches tank. If you are using the Python, add the water conditioner to the tank, and fill from the tap. (Prime is a good water conditioner for a new tank)
Don't forget to buy a good water testing kit, such as the API liquid test kit.
