Marineland 20g experience?

Does anybody here have any experience with the marineland 20g biowheel aquarium kit? Its on sale at petsmart for $35 off and the site has a promo ending tonight where you save 15% for buying online and im tempted to buy it. Ive read very mixed reviews on the filter it comes with so i was just wondering if anyone here has experience with the kit or the brand and if youd say its worth buying.

The wheel part is pretty much useless and clogs/can be noisy. I like tetra whispers on tanks of that size. My 20g has that and a sponge filter. I'm not seeing the discount ($130). It's a lot cheaper to just buy a tank and put it together yourself and get exactly what you want for the stock. I spent under $100 for everything, including decor/plants. There's a lot of gently used tanks for sale.

Im in canada so its $179.99 for $142.99 tanks are so overpriced here! Unfortunately what i didnt realize was the sale ended at 7 when the stores close not at midnight like i had assumed so it would be just the 15% off now. Given that response im kinda glad the sale ended before i had a chance to buy it though

Facebook marketplace and other used sites have them for 20-40USD. Top Fin kits aren't too bad if you wanted to stick with something new and simple.
