Is An Abundance Of Snails An Issue?

I have a 5G bowl that's home to 3 Endlers, 5 shrimp & numerous snails. The bowl is also heavily planted.

The snails are breeding profusely & I'm just wondering if there's any foreseeable issues with an abundance of snails?

I sprinkle crushed algae wafers into the bowl once a week so food isn't an issue between the shrimp & snails.

I'm just wondering is there any other issues/problems if I leave the snail population unchecked?

You should not have any issues. Unless some of the snails dies then you could have a spike in ammonia. In 5 gal that could kill the fish easily. One snail died in my 20 gal and three fish died. As long as there is enough food in the tank, the snails will keep breeding. I would keep my eye on the snail population.

Good point about the potential of ammonia spiking in such a small bowl.

Looks like I'll be culling this weekend.
