20 gallon long - stocking sugestions

I just got a 20 gallon long, and I was wondering about stocking options. I've though about getting 5x harlequin raspboras, 6x neon tetras, 5x cory (hasbrosus) cats, and some ghost shrimp. I kinda want a centerpiece fish that'll go with the fish I chose, but i'm note sure what to get. I originally wanted to go with guppies, but they need harder water than the other fish i chose. Is there any live bearer i could get and switch out? I also want plants for this tank when i start cycling it. Probably java fern, anubias, and crypts or wisteria, cause i heard its hard to kill them. I am a beginner. Thanks.

I don't think that it's a long. The dimensions are 12.5 x 24.2 x 19.5 inches.
