Pearl gourami with a group of honey gourami

I have set up a 29 Gal planted aquarium and have sorted out most of my stocking plans but have found conflicting information on if i can put a small group of 3-5 honey gourami with my pearl gourami without running into any problems?
my stocking plans are
  • 1 Pearl gourami
  • 7 hengeli rasbora
  • 1 bolivian ram
  • 8 hasbrosus corydora
this is my first post on an aquarium forum

I personally would suggest otherwise. Your pretty well stocked as is IMO.

I've never had any problems with 'Impulse Buying'. They're just animals that I forgot I had planned to get.

would there be any aggression between the gouramis though? I have very high stocking in all my tanks but have never lost a fish from it.

Both tend to be peaceful fish, but some have had issues with their pearls in the past. In saying that, pearl gouramis do appreciate being in groups so maybe get 2-3 more pearls in there?

Thanks so much for the help! I was afraid about a comment about my high stocking but I only stock high because my parents will only allow me to have so many tanks in my room and and i cant settle on just a couple kinds of fish, although I can assure you I do a Fair Amount of water changes a week and all my tanks are completely healthy. I may Get a couple Gold Pearls as I already have a Normal and have been wanted them ever since i saw them at my lfs (not very local at 75 miles away)
Again Thank you
