Water test results info?

Hi again,

I just set up a new 80 gallon tank, filled it and added starter fish yesterday, and it tests at:
Amonia = 0
Nitrites = 0
Nitrates = 0
High Range PH = 8.0 or 8.2?
(via API Freshwater Master Test Kit)

Do you think any of those numbers is a problem?

Thank you,

Hi, thanks.

Actually, the nitrates are 10. Sorry, made a mistake with the number when I posted. Here it is again if a higher nitrate makes a difference.

Amonia = 0
Nitrites = 0
Nitrates = 10
High Range PH = 8.0 or 8.2?

PH: It looked to me like it was between 7.4, but another viewer said 8.0.
I don't know if it makes a difference but I used tap water, very hard water (in AZ).

I haven't decided which fish I want to have yet. I'm still working on a list to see what with work with what. Right now there is some very small 1" starter fish in there: 2 black tetras, 2 blood fin tetras, 2 clear tetras, a swordtail, 2 tiger barbs, a green cobra guppy, a sunrise guppy and a couple of platys. (I noted from another post to get only over 4" fish when getting the ones I want.)

I like the dwarf puffer yet after watching them eat live fish at the store I'm not sure how they'd work in a community tank, but they are on my "like most" list.

Thanks so much,

80 gal Bowfront / Rectangle
Filter: Fluval FX5 400 gal
Heater: Fluval 150w x 2
Fluorescent Light: Perfecto Perfect-a-strip reflector
Started tank with Detox 2, Aqua Chargers, Conditioner
No Co2
Starter fish
No live plants (would later like plants growing on rocks only)
Some filtered natural light all day

So sorry, hit the wrong section link. Hopefully an admin can move it to the correct forum.
My apologies,
