My carbonate hardness is off the charts my test goes to 214.8 ppm and mine is 2 drops higher then that. My calcium is 360ppm, phospate .5ppm ph 8.2 nitrate high but us chemical that detoxicies that ammonia and nitrite. How can I lower my carbonate hardness? Posted via Mobile Device
Carbonate hardness, more often called "alkalinity" in the saltwater side of the hobby, will fall naturally. You don't take any action to lower it. I would recommend that you continue testing 2 times per week, convert your test result to DKH, and target a range of 10 to 12 DKH. (ppm is used in freshwater, DKH in marine)
After your alkalinity falls within this range, test again for calcium and post both results. At this point we will be able to give some advice.

Alkalinity will not naturally rise, so a higher reading means that you somehow caused it to go up unnaturally. Some salt mixes can be high in carbonate buffers, or perhaps you added a calcium supplement or buffer when it wasn't necessary.
